MAR 10 - Rachel Tindall.
Rachel Tindall is a passionate performer, director, and teacher with a background in musical theatre and acting. She trained at the Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre and with the Queensland Theatre Company Youth Ensemble, and has worked with a variety of community and independent companies across Queensland. Rachel has a strong interest in storytelling, character development, and collaborative theatre-making, and is passionate about nurturing creativity in young performers. Her performance credits include West Side Story, Little Shop of Horrors, The Fantastiks, The Crucible, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as a number of original works. Rachel has a strong passion for inspiring young performers to explore their creativity, develop confidence, and enjoy the magic of bringing a story to life. After taking some time away from performing, Rachel is excited to be returning to the stage and doing what she loves most.
MAR 17 - Laura Field.
Laura is a Cambridge-based voice and communication specialist with over two decades of experience helping people find clarity, confidence, and presence in how they speak.
Originally trained as a drama teacher, Laura’s interest in voice work began when she noticed how often her students struggled with projection and articulation. That curiosity grew into Spoken Words, her voice and communication coaching practice, now supporting clients from all walks of life, including educators, performers, health professionals, and business leaders.
She holds a Master’s in Professional Voice Practice from Birmingham School of Acting, a Postgraduate Certificate in the Teaching of Shakespeare (in collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company), and a Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring.
MAR 24 - Nicky Whicelow.
Nicky has been a professional actor for over 25 years and a voice-over and audiobook narrator for 15 years. Born in NZ and moving to the UK to work and study with the Royal Shakespeare Company, she was active in the London Theatre scene and semi-professional stages for over 15 years, but now calls Brisbane theatre her home. She has over 45 plays in the UK and Australia and 20 audiobooks to her name, as well as 5 short films in 2023/2024, one of which is an International Cannes Film Winner and multiple TV adverts for the US market. She is also an established Stage Director and Producer for her own independent theatre company – VOX Productions.
MAR 31 - Ophelia Novak.
Ophelia Novak is a performance artist and scriptwriter from Brisbane. Some of their previous roles include George in The Bed Party (Menacing Lavender/Pip Theatre 2023), Aspen/Press 1 in Disney off Ice (Observatory Theatre Co 2024, 2025), and are currently playing Emily in Fever’s The Jury Experience: Million Dollar Murder. A winner of the 2024 Astra Nova Emerging Playwright competition and a lover of both plays and poetry, Ophelia is delighted to have been working with Hummingbird Theatre Co on projects, including Monologue Mondays, since 2022.
